Portrait #32: First Father's Day

Ian was home and off of work for the first time in ages this weekend.  We had a great time doing the simple everyday things families do together...eating, running errands, playing, swimming, laying in bed, walking around the neighborhood and cleaning.  It was wonderful and relaxing.  And of course I had to add a little photography into the mix.  This was taken on Father's Day a little too late in the day for the little man, but his dad was able to coax a few smiles out of him.  I can't help but smile looking at my two cuties.

Portrait #31: Little Author

Last summer I volunteered at Page 15's Young Writer's Camp.  It is a wonderful camp here in downtown Orlando working with kids to encourage creative writing and a love of reading.  This summer I am taking author portraits for the kid's books.  It was a fun challenge to try to capture the camp goers in a few minutes and a few quick shots.  This little one was easy, she's just so precious!

Portrait #30: Hello Summer

Summer arrived in Orlando quite some time ago now.  Temperatures below 90 and low humidity are a distant memory.   One of our favorite things to do these hot sticky days is to cool off in a pool.  I plan to turn Rowan into a fish by summer's end.  I'd say he looks pretty happy to be splashing around in the water!
