My Mind Doth Slowly Return

I feel as if I have been away on a long journey and I am finally returning. My mind has been a different beast this last year. The world viewed through the varying hormonal lenses of pregnancy and childbirth has yielded many new and varied hues. Now, these changes are giving way to my old familiar self. The flood of ideas has begun to flow again, so I must find some time to pursue a few.

The weather has finally changed and we are loving every moment of it. The other day the indoor temperature dropped into the 60's and Haunchy just couldn't bear it; she stayed snuggled under the covers until the sun warmed the house. She emerged slowly like a bear coming out of hibernation. It is at this slow comfortable pace that my mind returns to me; like the bear it stretches and finds it is hungry.

First Flight

I am off to visit my family bright and early tomorrow morning. Rowan will take his first flight at 3 months of age. My dad's first flight was when he was 26. My Grandmother has never flown anywhere and has never been more than 2 hours from Philadelphia by car. It is amazing how much has changed over the generations. We are so mobile and so spread out. I love to be able to travel so easily, but I do wish my friends and family were not so scattered. I would love for Rowan to grow up surrounded by a large network of friends and family. Alas, we will see what we can do.

I have decided to start an Etsy shop to sell some of my Polaroid work. Check it out here if you get a chance. More items will be listed once I return from my travels.
